TAIN MP DONATES MEDICAL EQUIPMENT TO TAIN DISTRICT HOSPITAL, COMMITS TO IMPROVED HEALTHCARE DELIVERY

Tain, Bono Region — September 1, 2026: The Member of Parliament for Tain Constituency, Hon. Sulemana Adama (Ramzy), has donated essential medical equipment to the Tain District Hospital as part of efforts to support quality healthcare delivery in the constituency.

The donation, made on Tuesday, September 1, 2026, comprised four (4) basic vital-signs patient monitors, two (2) multi-parameter patient monitors and one (1) cardiotocography (CTG) machine, are expected to strengthen the hospital’s capacity to effectively monitor patients and improve maternal and neonatal care.

The intervention forms part of Hon. Sulemana Adama’s broader commitment to supporting healthcare institutions within Tain and complementing government efforts to improve access to quality healthcare.

Receiving the items on behalf of the hospital, the Medical Superintendent, Dr. Philip Taah-Amoako, together with management and staff, expressed their appreciation to the Member of Parliament for the gesture.

The hospital authorities acknowledged that the equipment would contribute significantly to the delivery of efficient healthcare services, particularly by enhancing the monitoring and management of patients whose conditions require continuous observation.

Beyond the latest donation, management and staff also commended the MP for his consistent interventions and advocacy on matters affecting healthcare delivery in the constituency and beyond.

They particularly acknowledged his advocacy on the financial challenges confronting health facilities, including electricity costs, which has contributed to the government’s decision to absorb electricity bills for health facilities across the country.

According to the hospital authorities, such interventions demonstrate the importance of sustained advocacy and political leadership that responds directly to the operational challenges confronting healthcare providers.

The donation therefore goes beyond the provision of equipment, reflecting what the hospital described as a commitment to ensuring that healthcare professionals have the necessary tools to work effectively and provide better care to patients.

Hon. Sulemana Adama, popularly known as Ramzy, has consistently maintained that improving healthcare delivery requires a collective effort involving government, Parliament, local institutions and stakeholders.

The management and staff of the Tain District Hospital expressed their gratitude to the MP for the donation and his continued support, while encouraging sustained collaboration between the hospital, the Member of Parliament and other stakeholders to address the remaining needs of the facility.

Hon. Sulemana also introduced the Health Coordinator for his office, Mr. Mark Nsiah, to the staff. This he indicated was an initiative by the Parliament of Ghana to assign Personal Assistants in key thematic areas to liaise between the office of the Member of Parliament and constituents.
