The maternity block forms part of the inpatient wards, which ensures proper health care delivery of all persons mainly females without any discrimination. The maternity block comprises of labor, lying-in and NICU.

Labour unit is part of the maternity department. It is the place were monitoring of labour and delivery is carried out.

Nicu
A district-level NICU ward provides specialized care to premature and critically ill newborns, ensuring their well-being and early medical intervention.
SERVICES PROVIDED
- 1. We attend to all sick-term babies and premature babies referred to us within the hospital, sub-district, and beyond.
- 2. We also do phototherapy

The unit was initially part of the labor ward operating with 1 incubator, a phototherapy machine, and a radiant warmer but due to the workload of the labor ward, management decided to get separate staff for NICU in order to ensure these babies are given the maximum care and attention. In December 2020, the unit was carved out of the labor ward and staff allocated and hence, began working as a separate unit. The unit currently has 5 incubators, 2 radiant warmers, 2 cots, and 4 phototherapy machines.
