The halls of the Tain District Hospital were filled with unexpected joy and a renewed sense of hope on Tuesday, 30th December 2025, as the Member of Parliament for Tain, Hon. Sulemana Adama, made a surprise working visit to the facility.
Led by the Medical Superintendent, Dr. Philip Taah-Amoako and the Head of Pharmacy, Md Martha Adeyiga, the MP embarked on a dual-purpose mission: to celebrate the hardworking staff and to address the pressing needs of the district’s primary healthcare hub.

Spreading Festive Joy to Our Front-line Heroes

The Reactions: Beaming smiles, wide-eyed gratitude, and spontaneous rounds of applause followed the MP through the corridors. The facial expressions of the nurses and doctors—ranging from pure shock to genuine delight—mirrored the impact of being remembered during the festive season.
Turning Words into Action: Fact-Finding & Assessment
Beyond the festivities, Hon. Sulemana Adama used the visit to conduct an on-site assessment of the challenges reported during his recent engagement with the Health Directorate in Sunyani.
Accompanied by Dr. Philip Taah-Amoako, the MP toured the facility to witness the situation firsthand. Dr. Taah-Amoako provided detailed insights into the infrastructural gaps and equipment needs that were previously discussed in Sunyani. By engaging directly with both the leadership and the patients, the MP gained a deeper, practical understanding of what is required to elevate healthcare delivery in Tain.
A Heartfelt Appreciation

The hospital management expressed deep gratitude for the MP’s hands-on approach.
Dr. Philip Taah-Amoako noted that such visits are vital for morale and for ensuring that the challenges of the hospital remain a priority at the legislative level.
One staff member remarked, “Seeing Hon. Sulemana Adama here personally, walking the wards with the Medical Superintendent, shows he truly cares. The smiles on our faces today aren’t just for the gifts, but for the recognition of our hard work.”
Hon. Sulemana Adama reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to ensuring the Tain District Hospital receives the necessary support to provide quality healthcare to every constituent.
