Tain District Hospital has been named amongst industry titans that were acknowledged at the 8th Ghana Industry CEO Awards. This was during a colorful awards night held on Thursday, 27th November 2025, at the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre. The night of glitz and glamour saw companies and institutions across multiple sectors receiving recognition for leadership excellence and innovation.
The event, organized by the Business Executive Media Group, brought together government officials, corporate leaders, and international dignitaries. It recognized chief executives who have demonstrated exceptional leadership and contributed significantly to their industries.
Tain District Hospital was acknowledged for transformational primary care innovation, and the Medical Superintendent, Dr.(Med) Philip Taah-Amoako, was honored with a medal, a plaque, and a citation. This was conferred on him by the Ethiopian Ambassador to Ghana, H.E. Ambassador Asaye Alemayo. The citation acknowledged efforts made to redefine the role of the modern CEO beyond profit to purpose. It applauded his transformative agenda, which has demonstrated that sustainable corporate success and tangible national development are two sides of one coin.
The event was graced by distinguished guests, including World Health Organization Country Representative, Dr Fiona Braka, labor consultant Austin Gamey, development consultant Lesley Casely-Hayford, the High Commissioner for Sierra Leone, His Excellency Mohamed Hassan Kaisamba, the Nigerian High Commission to Ghana, Ambassador H.E. Ifedayo Moses Adeoye, amongst others.
