From dansinkran to fugu, from agbada to patapataa, and various forms of intricate hand-woven kente were showcased at the final staff durbar of 2025.

As has become tradition, the staff of the facility climaxed an amazing 2025 with a final staff durbar to evaluate the year and usher in the yuletide. Clad in various traditional wears, they showcased the beautiful traditions of communities both within and outside the country. This was on Thursday, 18th December 2025.

Speaking at the meeting, the Medical Superintendent, Dr. Philip Taah-Amoako, presented on various activities undertaken during the year and major achievements chalked up. He was full of praise for staff whose hard work, toil, and commitment saw two stressful surgical outreaches, various community health screening activities, a significant rise in patient turnover, another award-winning feat, and most importantly, an overall satisfaction from clients.

Staff also evaluated the year and commended leadership for their efforts despite various challenges. A presentation was made by the Internal Audit Unit, ranking staff attendance to work, punctuality, and commitment as evidenced by the electronic lock-in system. Staff were admonished to take it seriously, as it remains the most valid evidence of attendance and punctuality.

The TDH@60 Planning Committee, led by Mr. Alhassan Danaa, announced plans to climax the year-long anniversary activities. The final date for the Grand Durbar, upon the advice of the Hospital Advisory Board, has been scheduled for Thursday, 26th March 2026. In this regard, staff and stakeholders were called upon to put in their maximum best toward preparations. Indigenes of Tain District and adjoining communities, home and abroad, were also encouraged to support the anniversary objectives.

The leadership of the Welfare Association was present to brief members on their stewardship. Led by the Chairman, Dr. Sampson Frimpong, they outlined activities undertaken, achievements, and challenges, while commending members for their support. Non-members were encouraged to join, as it remains one of the most assured forms of social support for staff. Plans for the yuletide were announced, including packages procured for all staff.

The meeting concluded with the award of the Best-Dressed Staff and the Overall Best Staff for the year 2025.
