Introduction:
On Thursday, 25th September 2025, Tain District Hospital officially inaugurated its newly constituted Hospital Advisory Board. This important step aligns with the hospital’s 60th Anniversary theme:
“Prospects for a Secondary Facility, the Role of Stakeholders.”
The Advisory Board has been established to strengthen stakeholder engagement, foster stronger community relations, and support the hospital’s vision for growth.

Representation Across Communities:
The new board includes leaders from traditional, political, and religious backgrounds:
- Nsawkaw Traditional Council – Nana Kyeremeh Siasaa Samprampa (Sanaahene)
- Badu Traditional Council – Hon. Dr. Nana Lucy Acheampong (Twafohemaa)
- Seikwa Traditional Council – Nana Yaw Kaka III (Krontihene)
- Banda Traditional Council – Nana Peh Aboatea II (Acting President & Banmuhene)
- Alhaji Abdullah Saeed – Tain District Chief Imam (Muslim Community)
- Rev. Dickson Yaro – Chairman, Christian Council (Christian Community)
- Hon. Ahmed Ibrahim – Assemblyman, Ahenfi Electoral Area (District Assembly)







Leadership Remarks:
In a speech heralding the inauguration, Dr. Philip Taah-Amoako, the Medical Superintendent, praised the contributions of the former board, led by the late Nana Effah Gyan, for mobilizing community support. He expressed optimism that the new board will enhance advocacy, partnerships, and health service delivery:
“Together, we will maximize the enormous potential this facility offers, build networks with key stakeholders, and continue to champion the health needs of the people of Tain and Banda Districts.”


Hospital Structure & Vision:
The Internal Auditor, Mr. Joshua Tigan, presented the hospital’s governance structure and introduced the leadership team to the new board members.
Conclusion:
The board members, in turn, commended management for its commitment and achievements in improving healthcare delivery in the Tain-Banda enclave.
